Qualities that make an Effective Leader
1 An effective leader shows
commitment to his work
Great passion is always the
start for every success. Having the passion to lead other people in an organized
and purposeful manner is what motivates a strong leader to be prepared to
defend or advocate his good cause. Thus, for an effective leader to accomplish
his purpose, one must show full commitment and dedication. One advantage of
being committed makes the leader earn respect from his team that is why the
leader must not only be devoted to his work but also be loyal to his promises.
An effective leader is a
good communicator
A communication skill is one of the major
qualities of a good leadership. It is important to know that communication is
not merely conversation; it is a two-way process of speaking and listening to
ensure that every member of the team receives and understands complete
information about the solicited message. Being able to clearly send the desired
action is very crucial because once the message is incomplete or is not
delivered accurately, there will be chaos. For this connection to effectively
happen, there should be sufficient channels for communication.
An effective leader must be decisive
An effective leader has the
authority and responsibility to make both quality and timely decisions. He must
be willing to make risks to command tough calls especially during the times of
uncertainty. Since the leader has the
supremacy to do so, he must not abuse his power for personal interest, rather,
he should be able to think critically in resolving the issues.
An effective leader have
integrity
Being a good example to
others is one of the traits that must be implemented by an effective leader. He
must have strong moral principles in order to make the right actions based on
core values. He must learn to treat everyone else the same way that he wants to
be treated.
An effective leader must care
for his people
The reason for effective
leadership is for the benefit of each individual. A strong leader must
genuinely care for other people’s wants and needs, and the changes that need to
be done for the good of all. Hence, the leader must demonstrate listening
skills to be able to identify the real problem and come up with a possible
solution.
Great World Leaders
1 Pope Francis
Jorge Mario Bergoglio, popularly known
as Pope Francis, is the 266th and current pope of the Catholic Church. He was
elected on March 13, 2013. He is one of the many
individuals that are considered as effective leaders because of the numerous
commendable practices that he has done for his countrymen and for many people
around the world. Recently, Pope
Francis auctioned in Paris his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and jacket for
about $327,000 and a leather jacket signed by the pontiff for $77,485, including
fees. The money from the sale will go towards the renovation of a hostel and
soup kitchen in Rome run by the charity Caritas, which works on behalf of the
Roman Catholic Church to support the needy.
It is undoubtedly acceptable that Pope Francis can be
considered an effective leader by selling his motorcycle and jacket for the
charity. Not only did he show his support for the poor, but he also presented
how an authoritative and influential person can show simplicity.

look up to and move for the better cause of the world.

“Our struggle for
democracy is a struggle for our everyday life.” – Aung San
Suu Kyi
Aung
San Suu Kyi’s actions for the democracy of Myanmar (Burma) are remarkable.
Despite all the hardships Suu Kyi experienced, she has fought hard for her
country. She is the daughter of General Aung San, who also fought for the
democracy of Burma. She was on house arrest by the time her husband died. The
military junta did not let her visit her husband in the U.K.
She was on house arrest when she received news of the
Nobel Peace Prize winner, who is she. Suu Kyi used the $1.3M to found a health
